Recognizing Skin Inflammation

Often than not, problem with skin disorders are not usually due to genetics and are rather due to the inflammation of skin. Recognizing skin inflammation or what can be described as the result from over reaction of the immune system to the environmental factors is important to finding the right treatment. Recognizing the type of skin inflammation also can help understand our skin better and try finding a way to not trigger the skin inflammation from getting worse

Rosacea happens to be on the a chronic skin inflammation that is limited to the face especially on the cheeks, chin, nose, forehead or eyelids. The redness can be seen visibly and although the exact causes of rosacea remains unknown, swelling, pimples and prominent spider-like blood vessels can also be appear in this case

Acne is another type of skin inflammation that is almost too popular and familiar among teenagers and young adults. This condition is not only related to the swelling and inflammation but is highly recognized by its blocked pores which becomes infected, thus, leading to the formation of acne. In severe cases, acne can also affect chest, arms, legs and buttocks.

Eczema also known as atopic dermatitis is a very common chronic skin disorder that causes very dry and itchy rashes. Although in tends to occur in infants and young children, the severity usually reduces over time. Eczema is a result from hypersensitivity reaction of skin to allergic responses which varies from each individual. People suffering from eczema may also find themselves with asthma or allergic rhinitis due to the reaction to the same allergens

Hives or known as urticaria is a skin inflammation that appears raised with red welts on the skin called wheals. Although most of the time the cause is unknown, some are caused by allergic reaction to food or other allergens. Hives usually occur when the body releases antihistamine into the blood stream in response to allergens

Psoriasis is another skin inflammation condition recognized by thick red skin with flaky white patches that resemble scales. While a small percentage of psoriasis patients have a positive family history on this condition, most of them suffer that from psoriasis are due to the rapid cell turnover causing build-up of dead skin on the surface
